2023: Spring Workshop (Rome, 6 June 2023)
The 2023 Spring Workshop of the Financial Intermediation Network of European Studies (FINEST) will be held in Rome on Tuesday, 6 June 2023. The workshop is jointly organized by the University of Essex, the Campus Biomedico University of Rome, and the University of Roma Tre.
FINEST workshops are small meetings with an in-depth discussion (from top scholars) of a limited number of high-quality papers with the aim of fostering discussion among academics, policymakers, and practitioners about the evolving challenges facing banks. In the 2023 spring workshop, we expect to accept up to seven full papers for presentation and a set of research proposals (in the “early idea” session).
We invite submission of papers in all areas related to financial intermediation, including bank risk taking, regulation and supervision, financial stability, resolution mechanisms, ownership structure and governance issues, market structure and competition, climate, ESG, and FinTech.

Best Paper Award in Memory of Radha Gopalan:
A faculty committee from the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis will choose the paper to receive the Best Paper Award in Memory of Radha Gopalan.
