2026: Spring Workshop (Limoges, 3 June 2026)
Bank Performance and Financial Stability in the Era of Responsible Banking

The 2026 Spring Workshop of the Financial Intermediation Network of European Studies (FINEST) will be held in Limoges on Thursday 3 June 2026. The workshop is jointly organized by the Laboratoire d'Analyse et de Prospective Economiques (LAPE) of the Universè del Limoges, France.

FINEST workshops are small meetings with an in-depth discussion (from top scholars) of a limited number of high-quality papers with the aim of fostering discussion among academics, policymakers, and practitioners about the evolving challengers facing banks. For the 2026 Spring Workshop, we expect to accept for presentation about six full papers and six short presentations in the PhD/Young Scholar sessions. PhD/Young Scholar sessions with short presentations (5 minutes) are aimed for Junior Researchers who are in their last year of PhD program or Scholars who have recently (last 3 years) acquired their PhD degree.

Although we invite submissions of papers in all areas related to financial intermediation, preferred topics for this workshop are: Bank Risk and Regulatory Implications, Financial Stability, Systemic Risk, Liquidity Risk, Capital and Liquidity, Failure Resolution and Total Loss Absorbing Capacities, Capital Structure, Ownership Structure and Governance in Banking, Bank Market Structure, Competition, Lending Behavior, Climate Change and ESG, Fintech, AI and data-driven credit and risk analytics.

Fees
For the selected speakers, registration fees (180 euros) cover lodging (2 nights), meals and coffee breaks (welcome dinner, morning break, lunch, afternoon break, closing dinner).
